TL;DR
Data Center Hardware Technician (AI Infrastructure): Troubleshooting and repairing complex air- and liquid-cooled GPU servers while supporting hardware qualification, datacenter deployments, and vendor coordination with an accent on reliability, uptime, and hardware performance. Focus on diagnosing failures, managing firmware and BMC-based systems, supporting burn-in testing, and resolving issues in a physically demanding datacenter environment.

What you will do
- Diagnose and repair hardware failures in complex air- and liquid-cooled GPU servers.
- Support burn-in, stress testing, and qualification of new hardware with the Infrastructure Systems team.
- Manage vendor support tickets, coordinate vendor personnel, and maintain hardware issue tracking.
- Maintain spare-parts inventory and support server racking, cabling, and infrastructure deployments.
- Document hardware issues and resolutions while communicating with internal teams and vendors.
- Provide occasional after-hours on-call support and work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
- Significant experience diagnosing and repairing air- and liquid-cooled GPU-based servers.
- Deep knowledge of server hardware, BMC-based manageability, BIOS settings, and firmware deployment.
- At least four years of hands-on datacenter experience.
- Familiarity with InfiniBand switches and network topology, plus basic Linux system administration skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field; ability to work on-site and lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice to have
- Experience with high-performance computing technologies and liquid cooling systems.
- CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or other relevant certifications.
- Scripting experience with Python or Bash.
- Experience with datacenter infrastructure management tools or fast-growing startup environments.
