Security Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Brisbane, Australia; weekend shift and off-hours on-call rotation.

What you will do

• Analyze web traffic patterns across critical customer endpoints such as login and account creation.
• Collect and interpret data to distinguish legitimate traffic from suspicious activity.
• Identify attack signatures, select effective challenge strategies, and anticipate attacker behavior.
• Define data collection and analysis processes to improve attack detection efficiency.
• Report findings to Technical Account Managers, Arkose teams, and client staff, including through customer-facing reports.
• Collaborate on business needs, internal projects, initiatives, and process improvements while participating in off-hours escalation support.

Requirements

• 3+ years of data or support analyst experience, preferably in a SaaS company.
• Experience with customer support and escalations.
• Strong understanding of information security and previous experience supporting web security products against bots, fraud, or abuse.
• Strong Python scripting experience and working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and XML.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, attention to detail, ability to learn new technologies, and willingness to research and teach others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer focus, and ability to work in a team.

Nice to have

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or Economics.
