Senior Supercomputing Software Engineer (C/C++): Developing foundational system software for high-performance server infrastructure with an accent on BIOS and BMC firmware, boot processes, system logging, security, and hardware reliability. Focus on integrating node-level Kubernetes and Docker orchestration, debugging complex boot and hardware failures, validating root-of-trust mechanisms, and optimizing performance across large-scale deployments.
Location: Taipei, on-site

What you will do
- Integrate and maintain BIOS and BMC firmware, including AMI or OpenBMC-based systems.
- Develop and debug server boot processes, including NetBoot, secure boot, and root-of-trust verification.
- Analyze DRAM timings, PCIe configurations, power-state transitions, hardware logs, and system-level performance issues.
- Design advanced logging, monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting capabilities for large-scale server deployments.
- Integrate node-level Kubernetes and Docker orchestration into the system software stack.
- Lead junior developers, review code, create test plans, and collaborate with hardware and software engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with C/C++ or Python.
- 8+ years of experience developing BMC firmware.
- 5+ years of experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with server boot processes, CI/CD pipelines, system logging, diagnostic tools, and hardware log analysis.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and server hardware architectures.
- Knowledge of root-of-trust concepts, security principles, and effective system-level problem solving.
Nice to have
- Experience with BIOS firmware architectures and OpenBMC development.
- Experience leading technical work or teams.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, kernel-mode drivers, Rust, tracing, performance testing, and benchmarking tools.
