Senior Financial Data Analyst (Crypto)

What you will do

• Build and maintain modeled financial reporting tables in the data warehouse for monthly close, forecasting, and board reporting.
• Reconcile general ledger records with on-platform and off-chain transaction, fee, and trading activity.
• Turn raw financial and platform data into accurate reports that require no manual cleanup.
• Analyze fee structures and their effects on trading volume, revenue, and trader behavior.
• Measure the cost, revenue impact, and retention outcomes of incentives and promotions.
• Partner with finance and analytics engineering on close, variance analysis, recurring reporting, documentation, and investor reporting.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, financial analysis, or a similar field.
• Expert SQL skills, including complex joins across transaction-level data.
• Data science experience with causal inference, quasi-experimental methods, or predictive modeling in Python or R.
• Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals, including general ledgers, accruals, and revenue recognition.
• Experience with a modern cloud data warehouse such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or ClickHouse.
• High attention to accuracy and the ability to translate between finance and engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt or similar transformation tooling.
• Familiarity with on-chain data or crypto accounting.
• Experience in fintech, crypto, prediction markets, or other data-intensive financial products.
