Senior Solution Engineer - Manufacturing & Automotive (m/f/x)

Location: Hybrid in Paris; candidates should be based in the DACH region or elsewhere in Europe and be willing to travel approximately 25–35% to clients across the region.

What you will do

• Own solution engineering for enterprise opportunities in the Manufacturing & Automotive vertical, from platform deep dives through customer decisions.
• Translate supply chain resilience, reporting, carbon management, product compliance, asset operations, and traceability requirements into concrete solution scopes.
• Design and deliver industry-specific demonstrations and own end-to-end proofs of concept.
• Navigate integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems, including functional RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, and IT integration topics.
• Partner with Account Executives on deal strategy, stakeholder mapping, and technical value propositions.
• Mentor junior Solution Engineers and provide structured industry, competitive, and customer insights to Product.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in solution engineering, presales, consulting, or sales engineering for B2B enterprise SaaS, with relevant industry experience.
• Experience owning complex enterprise deals end-to-end, including proofs of concept and security reviews, with deal sizes above €250K.
• Technical fluency in REST APIs, SAP, identity management and SSO, cloud architecture, enterprise integration patterns, and basic data modeling.
• Ability to connect regulatory or operational challenges to ROI, TCO, KPIs, and deployment roadmaps.
• Regular use of AI for research, demonstration preparation, and RFP work, with a clear perspective on AI-driven presales.
• Native or near-native German and fluent English are required.

Nice to have

• Expertise in Supplier Intelligence, Carbon Accounting, Reporting, Traceability, or Product Compliance.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, Coupa, ServiceNow, or industry-specific platforms.
• Exposure to Agentic AI in enterprise SaaS.
• Industry recognition, experience scaling Solution Engineering teams, or enablement program experience.
• Italian, Spanish, or French language skills.
