What you will do

• Lead and execute the media relations strategy, cultivating relationships with top-tier reporters and outlets in energy, technology, and business.
• Develop and pitch compelling stories that position the company as a leader in fusion energy.
• Support executive visibility and external speaking engagements by developing messaging and preparing leadership for public events.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on media strategy and external communications.
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, science, and policy teams to highlight newsworthy milestones.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, or strategic communications.
• Proven track record of securing high-impact coverage in top-tier outlets.
• Strong existing network of media relationships across energy, climate, technology, or business press.
• Exceptional storytelling and writing skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics for mainstream audiences.
• Experience preparing executives and technical leaders for media interviews and public-facing events.
• Must be able to work on-site in Everett, WA.
