Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Salary: CAD 180,200–270,200 per year; an additional Canadian base pay range of CAD 156,000–234,000 is listed.

What you will do

• Design and build core machine learning systems for production AI agents.
• Develop LLM-powered agent frameworks, including RAG pipelines, workflow orchestration, evaluation, and feedback loops.
• Own the machine learning lifecycle from problem framing and data strategy through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Build scalable services for hosting machine learning models in production.
• Integrate agents into the hirify.global platform in partnership with software engineers, product managers, and data scientists.
• Apply agentic architectures and engineering practices to create reliable, explainable, and observable systems.

Requirements

• For the Senior Machine Learning Engineer level: 7+ years of experience building applied machine learning products at scale; for Machine Learning Engineer III: 5+ years.
• Professional experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience building services that host machine learning models in production at scale.
• Experience with LLMs, text generation models, or graph neural networks for real-world use cases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or an equivalent field; a master’s degree or PhD is preferred.

Nice to have

• Leadership, mentoring, or management experience in machine learning engineering.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing, information retrieval, or recommendation systems.
• Experience with AI, LLMs, RAG, autonomous agents, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience independently solving ambiguous problems and technically leading teams.
