People Operations Manager (EMEA People Operations): Overseeing employee lifecycle management, payroll, benefits, compliance, and scalable people programs across the EMEA region with an accent on multi-country operations, employee relations, and strategic business partnering. Focus on building standardized processes, managing complex regulatory frameworks, leading engagement and development initiatives, and advising managers across Spain, Portugal, and the UK.
Location: Barcelona, Spain (hybrid); two days per week onsite in the Barcelona office

What you will do
- Oversee day-to-day People Operations across EMEA, including employee lifecycle management, payroll, benefits, systems administration, employment law compliance, and external partners.
- Monitor EMEA market trends and advise business leaders on their impact on People Operations.
- Build and maintain standard operating procedures and ensure consistent execution across the region.
- Support scalable global people programs and regional projects covering onboarding, development, performance feedback, health and safety, and insurance renewals.
- Act as a business partner to EMEA managers on coaching, development, compensation, performance, and engagement.
- Lead employee relations cases, engagement and people-development projects, OKR tracking, and management of the Barcelona-based Office Manager and EA.
Requirements
- Expert-level People Operations knowledge in EMEA, particularly Spain, Portugal, and the UK.
- Experience managing payroll across multiple locations, providers, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience acting as a trusted business partner to company leaders and delivering People Operations outcomes aligned with company goals.
- Ability to measure team and individual performance and report progress against objectives.
- Absolute discretion when handling sensitive employee data across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong written and verbal English and Spanish, plus the ability to work onsite in Barcelona two days per week.
