SD Map Editor, Data Enrichment (ML)

Location: Minsk, Belarus; hybrid work. Office attendance is required during the first three months of probation, with periodic office visits for team sprints.

Salary: $520–700 per month before taxes

MapData’s Minsk R&D center develops map data and navigation services for people, packages, and vehicles using real-time data from sensors and phones.

What you will do

• Validate and edit large volumes of data for map and navigation services.
• Annotate images in specialized tools to create machine learning training data.
• Detect and mark objects in images according to defined requirements.
• Analyze, classify, and sort tens of thousands of images or map features per week.
• Make cartographic edits in OpenStreetMap and enrich map data using specialized tools.

Requirements

• English at A2 level or above, with the ability to communicate clearly and read and write documentation.
• Ability to perform repetitive, high-volume work while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Logical and analytical thinking, pattern recognition, and independent decision-making.
• Ability to stay focused, handle stress, learn quickly, switch between workflows, and multitask.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work from the office during the first three months of probation and attend periodic team sprints.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of traffic rules, a driving license, or completed driving school.
• Understanding of OpenStreetMap and an interest in cartography.
• Experience in GIS, cartography, or geodesy.
• IT experience or completed IT courses.
