Automation Manager, Operational Technology (Moulding Platform Owner)

Location: Billund, Denmark; hybrid work with an average of 3 days per week in the office. Relocation support is not available.

What you will do

• Own and develop the global Low-Volume Moulding automation platform.
• Drive standardisation, productivity, usability, serviceability, and operational reliability.
• Support new hirify.global element introductions and integrate new production technologies into Operational Technology operations.
• Provide technical guidance on automation architecture and software design with suppliers and equipment designers.
• Commission, optimise, and manage platforms and connected equipment throughout their lifecycle.
• Engage stakeholders across Operational Technology, Research & Development, production, maintenance, and external partners.

Requirements

• Experience programming, designing, and troubleshooting PLC-based automation systems.
• Hands-on experience with robotics applications and automated production equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial communication networks, including Ethernet/IP and OPC UA.
• Experience with functional safety systems, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting.
• Ownership, autonomy, continuous-improvement mindset, and strong collaboration skills in multicultural environments.
• Fluent English at C1 level or above.

Nice to have

• Experience with Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, Omron, or B&R automation platforms.
• Experience with industrial networks and data availability through SCADA and MES solutions.
• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
• Interest in new technologies and manufacturing innovation.
