TL;DR
Data Analyst (SQL/Greenplum): Analyzing business data sources and designing data marts for a Greenplum-based Data Warehouse with an accent on data profiling, logical data modeling, and transformation logic. Focus on writing complex SQL, preparing technical specifications for Data Engineers, and validating analytical data against source systems.
Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan; work is available onsite, remotely, or in a hybrid format.

What you will do
- Analyze and profile data sources for structure, quality, completeness, and refresh frequency.
- Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into clear technical specifications.
- Design the logical structure of data marts, including attributes, data granularity, and metric calculation rules.
- Create source-to-data-mart mappings and document transformation business logic.
- Prepare Greenplum SQL queries and data-mart prototypes for Data Engineers.
- Validate development results and reconcile analytical data with source systems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, window functions, and large datasets.
- Practical experience with Greenplum, including distributed architecture, distribution keys, and partitioning.
- Experience with Data Warehouses and data modeling principles, including Data Vault, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema.
- Ability to read source-system documentation, communicate with data owners, and write clear technical specifications.
- Intermediate English or higher is required.
