Head of Technology — Ecommerce

Location: Barcelona, Spain — Hybrid

Salary: €65,000–€80,000 gross per year

What you will do

• Define and execute the e-commerce technology roadmap with the CEO, COO, and leadership team.
• Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure across e-commerce frontend, backend, and native applications.
• Maintain uptime, security, and site reliability through proactive prevention and rapid issue resolution.
• Recruit, mentor, and oversee technology teams, with a focus on Ruby on Rails and React.
• Lead new platform feature development and launches while maintaining code quality, timelines, and budgets.
• Oversee website rollouts, Google campaign launches, and Google feed integrations.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in technical leadership, preferably in e-commerce.
• In-depth knowledge of e-commerce technologies, cloud architectures, CMS platforms, and databases.
• Proficiency in Ruby and Rails.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams working across multiple languages and platforms.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management skills.
• Experience with Google Merchant Center, Google Analytics, Google Shopping, and Google Ads.
