Compliance Officer, Commerce (Fintech)

Location: Tallinn, Estonia; on-site role with a hybrid model that includes at least 12 monthly in-office days

What you will do

• Identify and implement financial services regulatory compliance and licensing requirements across the EEA and 45+ countries.
• Validate the compliance of business, product, and market expansion changes.
• Manage daily communication with external counsel, internal legal teams, and business stakeholders.
• Drive compliance management and reduce compliance gaps by developing scalable solutions.
• Support relationships with competent authorities and payment service providers.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the payments platform.

Requirements

• Legal qualification and a master’s degree in law.
• 5+ years of experience in a regulatory environment, law firm, or international company.
• Strong understanding of financial services regulation, preferably payment services, e-money, or fintech regulation.
• Experience in project and stakeholder management, with strong logical thinking and research skills.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills, including the ability to explain legal requirements to business stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
