TL;DR
OSS Technical Expert (Wireless EMS/AI): Administering, integrating, automating, and evolving wireless Element Management System platforms across a large-scale telecommunications network with an accent on platform reliability, OSS integration, and operational automation. Focus on designing Infrastructure as Code and AI-enabled workflows, solving complex multi-system integration issues, and leading platform upgrades, architecture evolution, and vendor coordination.
Location: Onsite in Montreal, QC or Brampton, ON, Canada

What you will do
- Administer, support, optimize, and evolve Wireless Element Management System platforms.
- Lead platform upgrades, migrations, patching, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
- Design automation solutions, scripts, tools, and workflows for OSS and network operations.
- Integrate EMS, OSS, inventory, orchestration, and business systems across the network ecosystem.
- Contribute to OSS modernization, solution design, technical architecture reviews, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Coordinate vendors and cross-functional engineering, operations, architecture, security, and project teams while mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in telecommunications, OSS, EMS, network management, or related fields.
- Strong experience with Wireless EMS and wireless network technologies including LTE, 5G, RAN, and core networks.
- Linux/Unix administration experience and scripting or automation experience with Python, Shell, Ansible, or REST APIs.
- Experience troubleshooting complex multi-system integrations and knowledge of cloud-native and virtualization technologies.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, managing vendors and stakeholders, and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
- All corporate employees are expected to work onsite; candidates must clear a Canadian criminal background check.
Nice to have
- Experience with orchestration tools, inventory and service orchestration platforms, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Software development experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, and Git-based practices.
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, cloud platforms, network assurance, or closed-loop automation.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools and enterprise AI platforms.
