Senior QA Engineer (Manual, Backend)

Location: Onsite in the Limassol office, Cyprus

What you will do

• Analyze requirements and challenge vague specifications before implementation.
• Communicate with product managers and software developers about product functionality and delivery deadlines.
• Design tests using boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and state transition techniques.
• Perform manual functional and non-functional testing, including customer scenario, stress, performance, sanity, and regression testing.
• Test real non-HTTP protocols such as TCP, Protobuf, gRPC, FIX, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Track and report bugs while contributing to overall QA process improvement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Quality Assurance experience, including backend projects.
• 2+ years troubleshooting Java and reading or debugging production Java code.
• Experience with test design, requirements analysis, impact and traceability analysis, and functional and non-functional requirements.
• SQL skills beyond SELECT, including joins and verification queries.
• Linux command-line experience and log analysis using tools such as SSH, grep, and zgrep.
• Fluent Russian and English at B1+ level are required.

Nice to have

• Java or other-language test automation experience, including integration or end-to-end test frameworks.
• Performance testing with JMeter or VisualVM and Protobuf load profiles.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or the forex industry.
