What you will do

• Write approximately one high-quality long-form YouTube script per month.
• Develop narratives around documentary subjects, historical events, real-world stories, and significant moments.
• Research topics thoroughly using reliable sources and ensure factual accuracy, strong sourcing, and copyright compliance.
• Transform complex information and research into clear, entertaining, and accessible storytelling.
• Structure scripts with strong hooks, effective pacing, narrative progression, and satisfying conclusions.
• Collaborate with producers, researchers, and creative team members, incorporating feedback through revisions.

Requirements

• Proven experience writing scripts for YouTube or other long-form video platforms.
• Experience with documentaries, factual programming, historical content, or other research-driven formats.
• Excellent storytelling and writing skills, including a strong understanding of narrative structure and pacing.
• Excellent research skills, including finding, evaluating, cross-referencing, and synthesizing reliable sources.
• Strong understanding of YouTube audiences, retention, hooks, pacing, and storytelling conventions.
• Excellent command of written English, strong organization, time management, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
