Senior Brand Designer (AI)

Location: New York City or San Francisco, United States

Salary: $156,000–$234,000 annual base pay in San Francisco; compensation outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location.

What you will do

• Lead design for product launches, campaigns, events, internal initiatives, and other major brand moments.
• Evolve Vercel’s visual identity across typography, color, composition, iconography, imagery, motion, and product-brand expression.
• Design experiences across web, motion, 3D, social, print, swag, and physical environments.
• Prototype with Figma, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AI-assisted coding tools.
• Build scalable brand systems, templates, tools, and production-ready assets.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, product design, leadership, design engineers, and external specialists to ship cohesive work.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in brand, marketing, or visual design.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong taste, systems thinking, cross-medium execution, collaboration, and production work.
• Exceptional typography, layout, visual storytelling, composition, motion, and digital experience skills.
• Practical understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to refine and ship functional prototypes.
• Experience using AI throughout the design process, including prototyping, production, automation, and front-end coding.
• Strong production knowledge across responsive digital design, asset delivery, print preparation, environmental graphics, and vendor production.

Nice to have

• Experience at a SaaS, developer tools, or fast-growing technology company.
• Comfort with tools such as v0, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted coding environments.
