TL;DR
PeopleSoft Tech Lead (PeopleSoft/PeopleTools): Leading the delivery, support, and upgrade of PeopleSoft Financials applications with an accent on PeopleTools FCM upgrades, SQL, integrations, and complex issue resolution. Focus on designing and implementing system-wide solutions, coordinating operations and DBAs, and directing technical work across application projects.
Location: Hybrid schedule with three days per week onsite in Charlotte, NC 28206 or Raleigh, NC; the remaining days are remote.
Salary: $90–$95 per hour, W2 only. Medical benefits are available.

What you will do
- Lead PeopleSoft and PeopleTools upgrades, application support, maintenance, emergency patches, and service-pack implementations.
- Design solutions, guide development, and lead code and system-design walkthroughs.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex application and integration issues.
- Coordinate with operations, DBAs, vendors, users, and IT management on releases, downtimes, defects, and change management.
- Direct programming, SQL, reporting, ETL, testing, code migration, and quality-assurance activities.
- Assign day-to-day work, mentor application analysts, and contribute to portfolio-level planning and process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or 15+ years of related business experience in lieu of a degree.
- 10+ years of experience as an IT Application Analyst or equivalent, including PeopleSoft and PeopleTools FCM upgrade experience.
- 10 years of coding/programming, troubleshooting, problem-solving, logical design, and SQL coding experience.
- Experience with business requirements analysis, vendor management, root-cause analysis, enterprise standards, and process adherence.
- Must work onsite three days per week in Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC.
- Availability for occasional after-hours support, typically during the first six days of each month and averaging approximately seven days per month.

- Previous management or technical lead experience.
- Leadership of people or a portfolio of applications.
- PeopleTools experience, batch scheduling, or prior MSP experience.
- Schema and database design experience.
- Expert technical issue-resolution skills.
