Lead Mobile Performance Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own mobile performance across iOS and Android, including startup time, rendering performance, and runtime efficiency.
• Define architecture, standards, tooling, benchmarks, and performance budgets for mobile engineering.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in app startup, screen transitions, real-time data rendering, and network requests.
• Design data-fetching, caching, and synchronization strategies for low latency and reliable responsiveness.
• Build observability with real user monitoring, crash reporting, frame-rate tracking, and synthetic testing.
• Raise performance standards across the mobile codebase and influence broader engineering practices.

Requirements

• Deep experience in mobile performance engineering at significant scale across iOS, Android, or both.
• Strong expertise in rendering, memory management, network optimization, background processing, and app startup.
• Proficiency in Swift and/or Kotlin, with a strong understanding of mobile runtimes, rendering systems, and operating-system scheduling.
• Experience with real user monitoring, frame-rate profiling, and observability systems.
• Measurement-driven approach based on profiling, instrumentation, and performance validation.
• Technical leadership experience setting direction and improving performance practices across an engineering organization.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time data applications, live market feeds, or mobile trading products.
• Background in fintech or other data-intensive consumer mobile products.
