Solution Specialist, Data Services (AI)

Location: Livingston, New Jersey; New York, New York; Sunnyvale, California; San Francisco, California; or Bellevue, Washington, United States. Export-controlled information access requires U.S. person status, eligibility without export authorization, or eligibility and reasonable likelihood of obtaining authorization.

Salary: $207,000–$275,000 base annually, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own commercial and technical strategy for new enterprise customers purchasing data infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities where migration complexity, egress costs, or multi-cloud sprawl limit GPU adoption.
• Translate requirements for data lakes, vector databases, and high-speed storage into product feedback.
• Develop deal structures, technical playbooks, benchmarks, and commercial frameworks for large data pipeline engagements.
• Advise enterprise buyers on data gravity, multi-cloud networking, storage economics, and workload migration.
• Partner with capacity and infrastructure teams on storage efficiency, performance, and security.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in distributed systems, storage engineering, or data architecture.
• 5+ years working with multi-cloud networking and data transfer protocols such as S3, rsync, and WAN optimization.
• Deep knowledge of NVMe-over-Fabric, POSIX filesystems, and object storage.
• Experience deploying and tuning large-scale SQL, NoSQL, or vector database clusters.
• Strong understanding of BGP, peering, high-speed interconnects, egress cost modeling, and enterprise deal structures.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes-native storage orchestration, CSI drivers, and persistent volumes.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, biotech and life sciences, or media and entertainment.
• Background in technical sales, solution consulting, or product management for enterprise data infrastructure.
• Experience with secure multi-cloud data ingress and egress involving compliance and data residency.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
