Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, with a minimum of 2 days per week at the Amsterdam HQ.

Salary: Competitive annual gross base salary depending on level, competencies, and experience.

What you will do

• Build and maintain a self-service developer platform that simplifies application deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Orchestrate cloud-native infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources, with attention to scalability, performance, and FinOps.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, infrastructure templates, and reusable automation to improve developer productivity.
• Improve reliability through fault tolerance, disaster recovery, scaling practices, and proactive incident prevention.
• Enhance platform operations and observability while partnering with product teams on practical cloud-native solutions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of production experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience automating workflows and CI/CD pipelines with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
• Strong ownership of platform reliability, scalability, resilience, and long-term improvements.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and cross-functional teams and share technical knowledge.
• Availability to work from the Amsterdam HQ at least 2 days per week.
