Senior System Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid work is available in an office in Almaty, Limassol, or Serbia; fully remote work is available outside office locations. Relocation support to Cyprus, including visa assistance and a relocation package, is available when needed.

What you will do

• Lead analysis for complex initiatives across core banking, payments, and transfers.
• Design APIs, data models, integration flows, and business processes with development teams.
• Create and maintain technical specifications, system documentation, and integration contracts.
• Translate business, financial, compliance, and regulatory requirements into technical plans.
• Investigate production incidents by tracing transactions, analyzing data, and identifying root causes.
• Support the full lifecycle from discovery and solution design through delivery, testing, and post-launch optimization.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a System Analyst or in a similar technical analysis role.
• Background in banking, payment processing, fintech, core banking, or card processing.
• Confident SQL skills for data extraction, incident investigation, and system validation.
• Experience with microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, relational databases, and asynchronous flows such as Kafka.
• Ability to work with database schemas, API contracts, JSON/proto files, and technical documentation; strong UML and Mermaid visualization skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of safeguarding, reconciliation, and treasury operations.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or Snowflake.
