Senior Test Automation Engineer (JavaScript)

Location: Remote work in Kazakhstan, with access to offices in Astana, Almaty, and Karaganda. Work abroad is available for up to two months per year, with relocation options in more than 55 countries.

What you will do

• Design and maintain JavaScript/TypeScript test automation frameworks using Cypress, Playwright, or WebdriverIO.
• Automate frontend, API, and end-to-end testing and integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test failures, report defects, and collaborate with engineering teams on resolutions.
• Contribute to test strategy, code reviews, and QA process improvements.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and support knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Strong experience with JavaScript or TypeScript test automation.
• Hands-on API testing with tools such as Postman, SuperTest, or Axios.
• Solid understanding of QA processes, Git, and Agile/Scrum.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Availability to work remotely from Kazakhstan.

Nice to have

• TypeScript, BDD with Cucumber, visual regression, Docker, performance testing, or accessibility testing.
