Communications Manager (Education)

Location: Hybrid role based in Billund, Denmark, with three office days and two home days per week. No relocation assistance is offered.

What you will do

• Develop stories, narrative frameworks, and audience-specific messages for educators, school leaders, policy audiences, partners, and employees.
• Partner with media agencies and communications colleagues to manage proactive and reactive media engagement and press materials.
• Prepare senior leaders for visibility opportunities, including spokesperson briefings, blogs, keynotes, and major announcements.
• Coordinate reviews and approvals for sensitive communications, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and audience appropriateness.
• Plan and deliver internal communications, including Town Halls, leadership updates, and announcement materials.
• Develop crisis playbooks, escalation processes, issues-management materials, Q&As, presentations, and communication toolkits.

Requirements

• Experience in corporate brand communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, education, or a related field.
• Background in internal, corporate, brand, or external communications within a global, matrixed organization.
• Ability to turn complex business, product, research, or policy topics into clear and compelling messages.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including advising senior leaders and collaborating across functions and geographies.
• Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills, with the ability to produce polished assets quickly.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required; Danish fluency is strongly preferred and may be required for local stakeholders and channels.

Nice to have

• Experience with K-12 education, schools, districts, education technology, curriculum, or educator-facing communications.
• Experience with SharePoint, intranet tools, presentation design, video, design, or content management platforms.
