TL;DR
SRE Tech Lead (Automotive): Leading and architecting Site Reliability Engineering for cloud-based automotive software products with an accent on resilient services, customer operations, and connected-vehicle platforms. Focus on designing Kubernetes and public-cloud architectures, managing performance and capacity, and solving complex service reliability, cybersecurity, and outage-restoration challenges.
Location: Hod-Hasharon, Israel; hybrid work with office attendance 3 days per week

What you will do
- Lead and architect Site Reliability Engineering for Software Products solutions.
- Manage technical teams, oversee technology operations, and drive improvements across software platforms.
- Resolve complex customer service issues, prevent negative service trends, and support service restoration during outages.
- Partner with R&D and Engineering teams to prioritize and resolve operational issues.
- Own performance, capacity planning, forecasting, cloud and application stack estimation, and RFP solution responses.
- Interview, train, motivate, and develop team members while managing vendor relationships and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- 13+ years of experience in software services, with automotive experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience across software engineering, architecture, operations, reliability engineering, and project management.
- Strong knowledge of automotive IoT, public cloud, Kubernetes, edge computing, connected vehicles, and Software-Defined Vehicle architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Java application stacks, PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, Cosmos DB, HiveMQ, Kafka, MQTT, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; willingness to travel approximately 15% annually and complete a background investigation.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Customer interfacing, RFP response, solution development, and cloud-stack estimation experience.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders in complex environments.
- Knowledge of AI, AIOps, Application Performance Management, distributed tracing, and automation frameworks.
