What you will do
- Develop and execute ’s global media relations strategy, focusing on UK and US financial, banking, fintech, and regtech publications.
- Build direct relationships with journalists and create media opportunities around company announcements, thought leadership, data stories, and regulatory developments.
- Manage inbound press enquiries, reactive statements, press releases, media pitches, and briefing documents.
- Partner with executives on messaging, media interviews, leadership profiling, and thought leadership campaigns.
- Brief and manage specialist PR agency partners for campaign-based activity in selected markets.
- Monitor media and regulatory coverage, identify reputational risks, and report on share of voice and coverage quality.
Requirements
- 7+ years of PR experience, including significant work in financial services, fintech, or regtech.
- Deep understanding of the financial and banking media landscape, with established UK relationships and ideally US relationships.
- Proven success securing high-quality earned coverage in tier-one financial and business press.
- Strong writing and editing skills for pitches, press releases, briefing documents, and reactive statements.
- Experience managing or briefing external PR agencies and holding them accountable for outcomes.
- Ability to work independently and translate complex technical or regulatory topics into clear, credible narratives.
Nice to have
- Experience with regtech, compliance technology, or financial data.
- Relationships with journalists at specialist financial technology publications.
- Experience supporting C-suite executive profiling and thought leadership campaigns.
- Familiarity with analyst relations in financial technology.
