Role Overview:
We are looking for a mid-level Accountant to manage the full-cycle accounting for our SaaS Cyprus entity and oversee payroll for our employees and contractors. This role is central to ensuring accurate financial records, timely statutory compliance, and smooth payroll operations across a growing international team. You will work with external auditors and report directly to Head of Accounting and Tax, playing a key role in the financial integrity of the Cyprus operation.

Key Responsibilities:
✔ Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for the Cyprus entity in Xero accounting software, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and month-end close.
✔ Prepare and file VAT, VIES returns and other statutory filings in line with Cyprus tax requirements.
✔ Liaise directly with external auditors, providing documentation and support throughout the annual audit process.
✔ Process monthly payroll for employees and contractors (approx. 45 headcount), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
✔ Ensure payroll compliance with Cyprus labor law, social insurance, and tax withholding requirements.
✔ Ensure accuracy and completeness of transfer pricing documentation in line with statutory requirements.

Requirements:
✔ Cyprus-based.
✔ 2–3 years of experience in accounting, ideally including payroll responsibilities.
✔ Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
✔ Strong knowledge of IFRS.
✔ Solid understanding of Cyprus tax regulations and statutory filing requirements.
✔ Hands-on experience with Xero or similar accounting systems.
✔ Strong English proficiency (C1 or higher).
✔ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
✔ Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the full accounting cycle.
✔ Proficiency in MS Excel; adaptable to learning new AI tools.

Nice to Have:
✔ Studying towards ACCA/ACA/CPA (part-qualified).
✔ Experience liaising with external auditors and managing audit processes.
✔ Experience working in the IT / SaaS industry.
