Director, Enterprise Quality Engineering

Location: Remote New York, United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required.

Salary: $156,600–$215,400 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise quality validation for end-to-end business workflows, cross-platform integrations, and multi-segment technology initiatives.
• Define standards for integration assurance, release certification, automation, resiliency testing, and production quality validation.
• Guide dependency mapping, risk-based test planning, automation strategy, test data planning, and environment readiness.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, product, DevOps, cybersecurity, operations, and platform teams to manage quality risks and improve release readiness.
• Advance automation-first and AI-enabled quality engineering, including defect analysis, risk prediction, synthetic monitoring, and quality insights.
• Build and develop a high-performing quality engineering team and own enterprise release certification, quality gates, reporting, and go/no-go recommendations.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in quality engineering, software engineering, test engineering, systems integration, technology delivery, or related technical disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience leading technical teams or enterprise-scale quality engineering capabilities.
• Proven experience with end-to-end testing, integration testing, release validation, or enterprise quality certification in complex environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of test strategy, automation, defect analysis, risk assessment, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and production readiness.
• Experience validating workflows across applications, platforms, APIs, data flows, and distributed systems, including reliability, resiliency, observability, or synthetic monitoring.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills in a matrixed environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry.
• Experience with enterprise transformation, platform modernization, cloud migration, or digital product delivery.
• Familiarity with microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, cloud-native platforms, data pipelines, and distributed systems.
• Experience with service virtualization, test data management, environment management, observability, or AI-enabled quality tools.
