TL;DR
Area Lead Analytics Engineer (SQL/dbt): Defining the technical direction for analytics engineering across Revenue, Purchase, and Orders, building scalable data models, pipelines, and analytical data products with an accent on architectural integrity, reliability, data quality, and cost efficiency. Focus on designing reusable standards, reducing technical debt, governing cross-domain architecture, and mentoring analytics engineers across complex business areas.
Location: Based in Lithuania, with hybrid work from the Vilnius or Kaunas office. Two office days are recommended but not enforced. Relocation to Lithuania is supported.
Salary: €6,167–€8,342 gross per month.

What you will do
- Set the long-term technical direction for analytics engineering across Revenue, Purchase, and Orders.
- Define data modeling standards, reusable patterns, architectural guardrails, and a shared design language.
- Own reliability, observability, documentation, operational quality, and technical debt governance across data products and pipelines.
- Coordinate cross-domain technical initiatives and translate ambiguous business challenges into clear architectural decisions.
- Mentor Analytics Engineers and other individual contributors through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance.
- Communicate technical trade-offs and strategic priorities to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or a related technical data role.
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining production-grade data models, pipelines, or analytical data products at scale.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, semantic layers, testing, documentation, lineage, data quality, and observability.
- Experience defining technical standards and influencing direction across multiple teams or domains.
- Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks, cloud data platforms, orchestration tools, and modern data stack technologies.
- Excellent written and spoken English required.
Nice to have
- Experience in marketplace, e-commerce, or similar business domains.
- Experience with data warehouses, lakehouses, data mesh, feature stores, or ML-facing workloads.
- Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
