Tech Lead – Laravel/PHP Platform Engineering (Laravel/PHP): Lead the development of scalable backend services for a high-traffic event ticketing and experience booking platform with an accent on system design, reliability, and production readiness. What you will do

• Lead technical execution for a squad, owning system design, code quality, engineering standards, and architectural decisions.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable Laravel/PHP backend services.
• Contribute hands-on to complex and high-impact areas of the codebase.
• Lead code reviews and strengthen testing, documentation, observability, and production readiness.
• Own delivery from planning through production release while managing technical debt and long-term system health.
• Mentor engineers and support incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-mortems.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Laravel/PHP backend systems and high-performance, scalable platforms.
• Experience delivering high-traffic, mission-critical systems.
• Strong knowledge of code quality, testing, documentation, observability, SQL/NoSQL, caching, and concurrency.
• Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies, strategic planning, and operational delivery.
• Fluent written and spoken English, Portuguese required, and existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS or GCP, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments.
