Senior Manual QA Tester (SQL)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work model. The role is described as open to candidates globally, but regular hybrid work is based in Lisbon.

What you will do

• Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases covering software functionality and performance.
• Use SQL to validate data integrity and support thorough testing.
• Record, track, and manage defects in JIRA through resolution.
• Document testing procedures and results in Confluence.
• Investigate quality issues, communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and support continuous improvement.
• Manage testing activities independently while meeting project deadlines and adapting to changing requirements.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in manual testing or quality assurance.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation.
• Practical experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Communicative English and proficient French are required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with a proactive and rigorous approach.

Nice to have

• Experience in agile environments.
• QA or software testing certifications.
