Senior Manual Tester (Payments and Financial Services)

Location: Lisbon, hybrid; candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union

What you will do

• Develop test strategies, detailed test plans, and functional tests for payment systems.
• Build test data sets and execute functional test campaigns covering payment flows.
• Validate the robustness, security, and compliance of financial transaction solutions.
• Report test outcomes and participate in daily stand-ups and project meetings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing processes and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement using Gherkin, MBT, and Test-Driven Development approaches.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in manual testing within payments or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of card payments, transaction flows, and messaging specifications.
• Experience with ALM, JIRA, Yest, SoapUI, Postman, and JMeter.
• Familiarity with Cardholder, Merchant, SEPA, and Instant Payment flows and related protocols.
• Communicative English and French communication skills, including written communication.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union is required.

Nice to have

• ISTQB Foundation, Test Manager, or Test Analyst certification.
• Experience with scripting, parsing tools, and result analysis.
• Knowledge of API testing and flow management tools such as Kanest.
