Senior Manual Tester – Payments and Financial Services

Location: Lisbon, Portugal with a hybrid work model. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Develop test strategies, detailed test plans, and test data sets for payment systems.
• Design and execute functional test campaigns covering card, SEPA, instant payment, and related transaction flows.
• Analyze and report testing outcomes, defects, and quality risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during stand-ups and project meetings.
• Improve testing processes and documentation using Gherkin, Model-Based Testing, and Test-Driven Development approaches.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in manual testing within payments or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of card payments, transaction flows, and messaging specifications.
• Experience with ALM, JIRA, Yest, SoapUI, Postman, and JMeter.
• Knowledge of payment participants and flows, including cardholders, merchants, SEPA, and instant payments.
• Communicative English and good French communication skills are required.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union is required.

Nice to have

• ISTQB Foundation, Test Manager, or Test Analyst certification.
• Scripting, parsing tools, and test result analysis experience.
• API testing and flow management experience with tools such as Kanest.
