Senior Software Engineer (SRE)

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship AI-powered SRE platform systems used by engineering teams on their critical paths.
• Participate in live-site monitoring rotations, handle escalations, and lead effective incident mitigations and postmortems.
• Improve availability, scalability, performance, reliability, and operational practices based on production learnings.
• Drive adoption by writing integrations, pairing with other engineers, and removing implementation friction.
• Plan and estimate work, coordinate scheduling and staffing, and influence engineering process improvements.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience architecting and engineering large-scale distributed commercial applications and services.
• Experience building complex internal platforms adopted by multiple teams in critical production workflows.
• Production experience building and maintaining complex AI-powered applications.
• Proficiency in an object-oriented language such as C#, C++, Go, or Python, with strong computer science fundamentals.
• Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multithreading, synchronization, asynchronous programming, cloud systems, microservices, HTTP applications, and web services.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and managed cloud services is required; experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps, and database backends is expected.

Nice to have

• Experience managing production Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Experience with databases and managed services such as Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, MongoDB, MySQL, or DynamoDB.
