Sr. Manager, Systems Engineering

Location: Remote within the U.S.; must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $210,000–$247,000 base salary annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of systems engineers and a technical lead.
• Own joiner, mover, and leaver automation in Okta Workflows, including access, API keys, and service credentials.
• Build device assurance policies across macOS and Windows, covering operating systems, browsers, and device state.
• Rationalize ITSM tooling and establish reliable self-service and platform operations.
• Govern SaaS procurement, identity and access controls, and the infrastructure supporting company-wide AI tooling, including MCP servers and Vercel.
• Build operational visibility and partner with Security, GRC, Finance, Engineering, AI, and Data teams on safe enablement.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT or systems engineering, including 3+ years managing and developing engineers.
• Experience across identity, endpoint management, ITSM, and procurement, or deep expertise in most of these areas with expanding scope.
• Hands-on experience deploying or governing AI-assisted enterprise automation in platforms such as Okta, Intune, Jamf, Atlassian, or GitHub.
• Ability to improve inherited systems, evaluate technical estimates, identify genuine risk, and lead through influence.
• U.S. work authorization without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
• Curiosity and sound judgment when applying AI to improve efficiency and impact.
