Malware Analyst Tech Lead (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead and contribute to the creation and curation of detection rules within the product.
• Mentor the team, set technical direction, and combine management responsibilities with individual contribution.
• Support customer-facing teams in addressing feedback related to security detections.
• Conduct threat intelligence operations to track and respond to advanced threats.
• Contribute technical research and findings to public-facing materials and cybersecurity conferences.

Requirements

• Industry experience as an IT manager.
• Hands-on reverse engineering experience with debuggers and MZ-PE and ELF executables.
• Experience creating detection signatures with YARA, SNORT or SURICATA, STIX, and SIGMA.
• Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, cyber kill chains, the OSI model, and Wireshark.
• Basic Python experience and the ability to work with confidential information covered by non-disclosure agreements.
• Experience presenting technical findings clearly at cybersecurity conferences.

Nice to have

• Reverse engineering experience with IDA Pro, Ghidra, OllyDbg, x64dbg, radare2, or similar tools.
• Understanding of binary executable structures and packers.
• Professional experience as a Detection Engineer, SOC Analyst, or Threat Hunter.
