What you will do

• Design and implement maintainable backend software using C#/.NET, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
• Deliver reliable software, conduct comprehensive code reviews, and build deep expertise in the team’s codebase.
• Define documentation, technical guides, and SRE standards for monitoring production applications and responding to incidents.
• Drive organisation-wide technical decisions, identify trade-offs and risks, and coordinate mitigation efforts.
• Diagnose complex bugs, implement fixes, and add automated regression tests.
• Mentor, coach, and empower engineers through knowledge sharing, demos, and technical leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field.
• 10+ years of expert C#/.NET experience.
• Strong experience with microservice architectures, event-driven systems, and messaging or streaming tools such as Kafka, Pulsar, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Redis, including selecting databases for specific use cases.
• Strong knowledge of cloud application deployment and scaling with Docker and Kubernetes.
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers, plus strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
