TL;DR
Technical Services Consultant (Data Migration) (ERP): Designing, implementing, testing, and deploying ERP data migration, integration, and reporting solutions for government financial management systems with an accent on SOAP/REST integrations, BI reporting, SQL performance, and application server configuration. Focus on modeling data structures, troubleshooting complex technical issues, optimizing system performance, and delivering reliable solutions for banks, government agencies, and financial institutions.
Location: On-site in San Jose, Costa Rica; international travel is required for project delivery and customer support.

What you will do
- Configure and customize web services and implement SOAP and REST integrations between GRP and external systems.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize BI reports and dashboards using BIRT and related reporting tools.
- Design and tune ANSI SQL queries and work with data cubes, dimensions, and fact tables.
- Support Apache Tomcat deployment, environment configuration, system monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions across project environments.
- Provide technical guidance, training, knowledge transfer, and post-implementation support to project teams and client stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional IT experience in technical consulting, implementation, or ERP support.
- Experience with ERP implementation, system integration, and SOAP/REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with BIRT and other BI or dashboard tools such as JasperReports, Crystal Reports, Power BI, Pentaho, or Apache BI Suite.
- Strong knowledge of ANSI SQL, query optimization, data modeling, and report performance tuning.
- Experience with Apache Tomcat, Linux, and Windows environments.
- English proficiency is required; willingness to travel internationally is required. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

- Knowledge of additional languages besides Spanish and English.
