Location: Lisbon, Portugal; flexible home-working policy available.

What you will do
- Develop, maintain, and support the deployment of NLP and GenAI products, including RAG, content generation, and recommendation systems.
- Prototype multiple approaches, identify suitable datasets, and drive data annotation for machine learning applications.
- Iteratively improve AI systems and conduct evaluation experiments with statistical analysis of results.
- Collaborate with technical experts and external stakeholders to solve business problems.
- Track advances in AI engineering, machine learning, GenAI, emerging technologies, and academic research.
- Translate and communicate technical concepts and solutions to different audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as an AI or IT Engineer; more than 5 years if the highest degree is a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with Python and object-oriented programming, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, content applications, and microservices.
- Knowledge of NLP techniques, RAG systems, agentic orchestration, MCP servers, classification, data transformations, optimization, deep neural networks, semantic extraction, and text representation.
- Experience with Docker, Azure, GCP, AWS, and RESTful or asynchronous APIs.
- Fluency in English, strong teamwork and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and transparently.

- Knowledge of vector databases.
- Frontend development, cloud administration, serverless cloud deployment, or advanced Linux experience.
