TL;DR
System Administrator (Linux/Windows): Deploying, supporting, and maintaining server environments, virtual machines, and network infrastructure with an accent on reliability, security patching, and backup operations. Focus on troubleshooting production systems, automating routine maintenance, and keeping infrastructure stable across Linux and Windows environments.
Location: Headquarters, Riga, Latvia; hybrid work is available.
Salary: €2,400–€3,200 gross per month.

Develops widely used monitoring software for an international business environment with offices in multiple countries.
What you will do
- Deploy, support, and maintain Linux and Windows servers, virtual machines, and related infrastructure.
- Manage switching, routing, VLANs, DHCP, and DNS.
- Monitor CVE databases and apply security patches to servers and network devices.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot network and server issues without disrupting production.
- Verify daily backups and perform test restores.
- Write scripts to automate routine maintenance and provide user support.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an IT Administrator or System Engineer.
- Practical Linux administration and virtualization experience, including VMware or similar platforms.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, routing, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with system patching and basic security hardening.
- Ability to troubleshoot production server and network problems safely.
- Good technical English.
Nice to have
- Ansible, Terraform, or similar automation and scripting tools.
- Git or other version control experience.
