TL;DR
Tech Lead (Python) (Billing/Payments): Owning and scaling a product-market-fit billing platform for the Web2App market with an accent on architecture, reliability, observability, and revenue impact. Focus on designing scalable payment infrastructure, solving operational complexity, leading incident investigations, and building high-value product features while mentoring engineers.
Location: Fully remote from anywhere worldwide, with flexible scheduling. The core team operates in Europe and hiring is supported through Deel.

What you will do
- Own the technical execution and evolution of the Billing product.
- Partner with Product and business stakeholders to shape solutions, priorities, and roadmap.
- Drive architecture, scalability, reliability, monitoring, alerting, and observability.
- Build and ship features that improve customer value and company revenue.
- Lead incident investigations and improve operational excellence.
- Mentor engineers and help scale the engineering team while remaining hands-on.
Requirements
- 7+ years of active professional experience with Python as a primary language.
- Experience building payment systems or billing infrastructure processing more than $50 million annually.
- Strong PostgreSQL experience.
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability.
- Ability to combine feature development, operational ownership, product thinking, and business orientation.
