Information Security Intern (Spring 2027)

Location: Onsite in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States; occasional work from home may be available for eligible positions after training.

What you will do

• Monitor and triage security alerts across SIEM, EDR, and email security systems.
• Investigate suspicious activity, document findings, remediate issues, and escalate confirmed incidents.
• Support security analysts and engineers with active investigations and daily SOC operations.
• Respond to user-reported concerns involving suspicious emails, files, and access.
• Contribute to detection improvements, security technology evaluations, enterprise initiatives, procedures, and documentation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong interest in security operations, incident response, or threat detection.
• Basic understanding of network traffic, operating systems, authentication, access control, and phishing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
• Clear written communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work in the Cincinnati, Ohio office environment.
