What you will do
- Develop, negotiate, and finalize financial and non-financial partnerships with private-sector organizations across Africa.
- Conduct due diligence, prepare partnership pitches, manage partner accounts, and support engagement with sensitive industries.
- Provide technical guidance and capacity building to country offices and regional teams on business engagement and Child Rights and Business initiatives.
- Lead regional and multi-country initiatives with companies, industry associations, governments, and multi-stakeholder platforms.
- Advise businesses on integrating child-rights considerations into policies, investments, operations, and workplace practices.
- Generate evidence and support programme planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting related to private-sector engagement.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in social sciences, development, business, corporate social responsibility, public administration, or a related field.
- At least five years of professional experience in sustainability, human rights, or children’s rights.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Experience supporting development, fragile-setting, or humanitarian programmes is relevant to the role.
- Ability to work with country offices, regional teams, private-sector partners, governments, and other stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, or a local language.
- Experience establishing and managing private-sector partnerships in Africa.
- Country-level experience in development, fragile settings, or humanitarian contexts.
