Mid Embedded Linux Engineer (Embedded Linux)

Location: Belgrade, Serbia; hybrid work with flexible hours and the possibility to work from home.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain software components for Embedded Linux systems used in agricultural machinery.
• Implement and integrate features in Yocto-based environments, including BSP integration and deliveries.
• Build scripts, tools, and supporting solutions with Python and Bash, using C or C++ where relevant.
• Maintain development, integration, testing, and CI/CD infrastructure across hardware and software platforms.
• Develop automated tests and participate in component, integration, and system-level testing.
• Analyse technical issues, support debugging, and collaborate with developers, testers, and client stakeholders.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Embedded Linux, Python, Bash or other shell scripting, and Git.
• Experience with C or C++ and basic understanding of software testing and test automation.
• Ability to analyse technical problems, work independently on defined tasks, and develop practical solutions.
• Collaborative approach and comfort working in distributed teams.

• Curiosity, adaptability, willingness to learn, and readiness to ask questions and share knowledge.

Nice to have

• Experience with Yocto, Linux BSP development, integration, or validation.
• CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and unit, integration, or system testing.
• Automotive communication protocols, particularly CAN, and automotive security concepts.
• Azure DevOps experience.
