Senior AI/Machine Learning Researcher (Cybersecurity): Researching and developing machine learning models that evaluate security incidents from terabytes of behavioral data with an accent on neural networks, transformers, and AI applications across the incident lifecycle. Focus on designing GPU-accelerated experiments, validating research for production, and shaping AI-driven cybersecurity automation.
Location: Hybrid work in Bratislava, Brno, or Prague.
Salary: From β¬4,500 gross per month, with the final amount based on skills and experience. Performance bonus of up to 15β20% of the basic salary, paid twice per year.

What you will do
- Research, experiment with, and develop machine learning models for evaluating potential security incidents.
- Explore AI and ML applications for signal filtering, incident summarization, malicious activity mitigation, and automated security operations.
- Design experiments on large-scale behavioral data across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Validate research ideas on dedicated in-house GPU infrastructure before production deployment.
- Collaborate with data collection, security operations, and software development teams to identify business-impacting AI opportunities.
- Mentor researchers and guide the long-term technical research direction.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of the mathematical and statistical principles behind modern machine learning and AI methods.
- Experience with modern neural network architectures, especially transformers and their variants.
- Ability to independently manage the full research lifecycle, from literature review and experimentation to production-ready solutions.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and staying current with state-of-the-art research.
- Experience with Python and machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Ability to critically evaluate existing solutions and contribute to technical discussions.
Nice to have
- University degree in Machine Learning, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of computer and network security.
- Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
