Principal Software Engineer (Go/C++)

Location: Hybrid role based in Krakow, Poland, with in-person onboarding and/or identity verification potentially required.

What you will do

• Design and build scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native services for high-volume production workloads.
• Shape the technical vision, architecture, engineering standards, and best practices for critical platform services.
• Develop backend and full-stack capabilities using Go, C++, React, and related technologies.
• Guide multiple teams through complex technical decisions while balancing architecture and delivery goals.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and technical mentorship.
• Improve operational excellence through observability, automation, reliability engineering, CI/CD, and Agile delivery practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale commercial software systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages; Go and C++ are particularly valued.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native applications, API design, data architecture, and databases.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, system design, scalability, reliability, security, and performance optimization.
• Fluent written and spoken English required. Proven architecture leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-tenant B2B SaaS platforms and large-scale production cloud services.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, cloud observability, Progressive Web Applications, and micro frontends.
• Experience with WebGL, 3D visualization, digital twins, industrial simulation, manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 solutions.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
