Licensed Appeal Writer (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Review denied insurance claims and patients’ medical files.
• Develop appeal strategies to support reversal of claim denials.
• Write clear, evidence-based appeal letters for client hospitals.
• Organize appeal workflows around internal, client, and insurance deadlines.
• Handle protected health information in accordance with HIPAA and information-security policies.

Requirements

• Four-year degree or equivalent work experience.
• Active professional license required as a Physician’s Assistant, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Practical Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or equivalent.
• Strong reading comprehension and ability to analyze medical information and terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and judgment skills.
• Ability to prioritize work under strict deadlines, learn new software quickly, and use Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to protect PHI, follow directions, collaborate effectively, and handle workplace stress.
