Sales Account Executive (ERP)

TL;DR

Sales Account Executive (ERP): Growing the Sage Intacct Accountants Channel across Africa and the Middle East by advising accounting firms on cloud ERP, digital transformation, and recurring services with an accent on consultative sales, accounting expertise, and long-term partner relationships. Focus on developing pipelines, shaping commercial proposals, coordinating ERP delivery handoffs, and helping firms expand their advisory and technology services.

Location: Hybrid, with the position required to be based in Gauteng and regular travel to the Cape Town office, client meetings, Sage events, roadshows, and other industry engagements. Remote work may be available depending on business and management needs, but onsite travel is expected. Flexible support across multiple time zones is required.

What you will do

• Develop and grow the Sage Intacct Accountants Channel across Africa and the Middle East.
• Build trusted relationships with accounting firms, finance leaders, business owners, and referral partners.
• Identify, qualify, and convert opportunities for Sage Intacct subscriptions, implementations, support, training, and recurring services.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle, including discovery, proposals, negotiations, closing, and handoff to delivery teams.
• Maintain pipeline records, forecasts, commercial reporting, and market intelligence.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Consulting, ERP Delivery, Finance, Client Services, and Sage stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, advisory, finance systems, outsourced accounting, audit, client accounting, or consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Financial Management, Business, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, problem-solving, consultative, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
• Ability to work from Gauteng and travel regularly to Cape Town and client or industry events.

Nice to have

• SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA, CGMA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, Sage 300, Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Dynamics, or other ERP and accounting platforms.
• Experience in an accounting practice, outsourced accounting firm, ERP partner, consulting organization, or professional services environment.
• Experience presenting to clients, conducting advisory discussions, or supporting technology implementations.
• Knowledge of cloud accounting and digital transformation initiatives.
