TL;DR
Engineering Manager, Automations & Internal Tooling (TypeScript/Python/Java): Building internal automation systems, developer tools, and platforms that improve engineering productivity and effectiveness with an accent on scalable architecture, reliable delivery, and high-leverage workflow improvements. Focus on shaping the automation roadmap, guiding technical decisions, and developing an autonomous engineering team.
Location: Full-time onsite position based out of the Novi Sad office in Serbia.

What you will do
- Lead, coach, and develop engineers building internal automation and developer tooling.
- Define the strategy and roadmap for engineering automation and productivity initiatives.
- Work with engineering teams and stakeholders to identify pain points and prioritize high-impact solutions.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and system health guidance.
- Own execution and delivery while balancing speed, reliability, maintainability, and long-term quality.
- Contribute hands-on to design, prototyping, coding, or debugging when useful.
Requirements
- Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing software engineers.
- Strong software engineering background with technical depth in system design, implementation trade-offs, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making.
- Experience delivering software projects from problem definition through implementation, rollout, and operation.
- Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear priorities and pragmatic execution plans.
- Strong collaboration, communication, delegation, conflict-resolution, and ownership-building skills.
- Interest in automation, developer productivity, and improving software development workflows.
Nice to have
- Experience building developer productivity platforms, internal developer tools, engineering infrastructure, or workflow automation.
- Experience measuring developer productivity, engineering effectiveness, or the business impact of internal tooling.
- Experience building solutions with LLMs, AI agents, or agentic workflows.
