Group Accountant

TL;DR

Group Accountant (International Finance): Managing consolidated monthly and annual accounts for UK and Europe, APAC, MEA, and the Americas with an accent on statutory reporting, cash-flow oversight, budgeting, and audit coordination. Focus on consolidating multi-region financial data, meeting tight closing deadlines, producing accurate management accounts, and coordinating finance operations across the Group.

Location: Remote, based in South Africa. Work permit or visa support is provided after successful completion of probation. Occasional international travel is required.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly management accounts, annual statutory accounts, explanatory notes, and supporting schedules for the Group.
• Consolidate creditor, debtor, cash-flow, and financial data across UK and Europe, APAC, MEA, and the Americas.
• Monitor the Group’s cash-flow position and its relationship to financial obligations.
• Manage the Group budgeting process and report monthly actuals against plan.
• Coordinate year-end consolidation, audit fieldwork, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Act as the central finance contact across global teams and ensure Group billing is issued by calendar day five each month.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience, such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
• Experience preparing management accounts and statutory reports for an international company, including annual account consolidation.
• Strong understanding of cash-flow management, financial obligations, and year-end consolidation processes.
• Experience working with auditors and supporting monthly, quarterly, or annual tax returns.
• Advanced Excel, analytical, reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure, meet strict closing deadlines, and collaborate across global finance teams.
