TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (AWS): Building and operating a reliable, scalable AWS cloud platform for an EdTech product with an accent on infrastructure automation, CI/CD, observability, and security. Focus on migrating on-premises infrastructure to AWS, designing self-service developer tools, optimizing cloud costs, and improving incident prevention and recovery.
Location: Hybrid work with remote work and 2 days per week in the office in Almere, Netherlands

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain an AWS-based cloud platform using infrastructure as code.
- Create and improve CI/CD pipelines with AWS-native and Git-based tools.
- Develop self-service tools and platform automation to improve developer productivity.
- Strengthen monitoring, logging, and tracing with CloudWatch, Datadog, and related observability practices.
- Apply DevSecOps practices, improve platform reliability and performance, and accelerate incident recovery.
- Support the migration from on-premises infrastructure to AWS while collaborating with development and product teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS as the primary cloud platform.
- Practical experience with AWS CDK or CloudFormation and CI/CD pipeline design.
- Good working knowledge of Linux systems and containerized environments, especially ECS Fargate.
- Knowledge of observability tools such as CloudWatch and Datadog.
- Understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, Zero Trust, and compliance, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to have
- AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
- Experience with hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
- Experience with AWS cost optimization or internal developer platforms.
